#1. Grand Wailea

This is one of the best places to stay in Maui for an amazing experience. With a beautiful beachfront property spanning over 40 acres on the island’s south shore and being built to resemble an outdoor art gallery, The Grand Wailea is the most well-known Maui resort. Many amenities are available, such as nine pools, complimentary beach cruisers, and weekly cultural tours offered by the resort’s Hawaiian Cultural Ambassador.

There are also seven on-site dining options. This includes ‘Ikena, where the Saturday rosé brunch offers rosé glasses that are both energizing and regional food. Along with an in-house astrologer and chart reading, there is also a nightly luau dining experience with performers narrating significant tales of how Hawaii was created.

#2. The Ritz Carlton Maui, Kapalua

Go to The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua on the less visited northwest half of the island if you prefer a quieter, more private experience in Maui. The resort was one of the most tranquil locations I’ve stayed at when I went in April. Although the vast resort may seem far away, it is actually close to everything you need. This includes a tennis court and golf course, as well as a 20,000-square-foot pool deck.

The resort also takes pride in its extensive cultural programming, which includes daily ceremonies at dusk and morning walks that follow the edge of the surrounding Honokahua Preservation Site, an old burial place.

#3. Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea

This is also one of the best places to stay in Maui which offers excellent services to its guests. Maui is without a doubt a popular destination for those seeking beauty and tranquility. With its breathtaking coastal views, three saltwater pools, a spa, tennis courts, and more, the opulent Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea perfectly embodies that essence. This is the hotel that my Maui-native friends assure me is worth the expense when luxury is top of mind and a sizable budget is available.

And if the well-kept grounds look familiar, it’s because the HBO series “White Lotus” was filmed at this hotel. The bathrooms are glam, the lanais offer views of the garden or mountains, and the rooms are elegant and contemporary with tropical elements.

#4. The Plantation Inn and Kaanapali Beach Hotel

I suggest the modest 18-room Plantation Inn for its low-key, beautiful lodgings for tourists who wish to stay nearby the best eateries, shops, and activities on Maui without spending a lot of money. Breakfast is also included, adding value, and staying here gives you access to the hotel’s sister property, the Kaanapali Beach Hotel, where I spent my formative years whenever my family traveled to Maui. Walking right onto the beach and going whale watching in the winter are two of my favorite memories.

If you want to save money without losing comfort, the Plantation Inn is a wonderful option. This is because it is considerably less expensive. Also, both hotels provide cultural events for families, including lei-making and hula. These hotels are, in my opinion, landmarks in west Maui, despite the fact that they tend to be on the simpler side.

#5. Waianapanapa State Park Cabins

Those who prefer hiking and other outdoor activities can consider staying in one of the cabins at Waianapanapa State Park. They can accommodate up to six people and have a living room and kitchen area with a two-burner hot plate, microwave, and refrigerator. However, a two-night minimum stay is required. Also, they get to experience the park’s blowholes, lava tunnels, native hala-tree forest, and Heiau (a religious temple) up close. My preferred activity in the park is to take a picnic to the secluded, little black-sand beach created by Haleakala’s lava rocks, which is finished off with evening stargazing.

#6. Hotel Wailea

Hotel Wailea, one of the best-liked places to lodge in Maui is a tranquil adults-only refuge with stunning panoramic views in a cozy setting that nevertheless puts you close to the beach without any of the beach traffic or noise. It is located in a less crowded region of South Maui. The 15 acres of Zen-inspired landscaping offer visitors breathtaking 180-degree vistas of the neighboring islands, Haleakala Volcano, cascading waterfalls, and tropical gardens.

You will also appreciate the cozy luxury of this distinctive boutique hotel, which is located just 300 feet above the water. It is simple to understand why Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards named this wonderful hotel Hawaii’s top hotel for 2018.

#7. Montage at Kapalua Bay

You’ll admire the Montage at Kapalua Bay if you enjoy spending your vacations in opulent residential-style lodgings. This upscale residential-style resort boasts more amenities than the majority of comparable Maui resorts combined with everything you could ever want. From the moment of booking to check-out, guests staying at the Montage in Kapalua will be immersed in an opulent lifestyle.

Additionally, oceanfront accommodations at Montage Kapalua are imbued with aloha. Residential-style accommodations with large living areas, private lanais, opulent baths, and fully furnished gourmet kitchens are available in one, two, three, and four-bedroom sizes.

The Hyatt Regency Resort on Maui is surrounded by 40 acres of breathtakingly beautiful oceanfront land. This location is a utopia, having received a AAA Four Diamond Rating for more than 20 years running. #10. Lahaina Shores Beach Resort

For the most excellent options, lodge at this one of the best places in Maui. An unusual spot to stay in Maui is Lahaina Shores Beach Resort. That’s extremely cool because it is the only beachfront vacation apartment complex situated in Lahaina Town. Visitors to Lahaina Shores can explore the restaurants, stores, cafes, and art galleries on Lahaina’s Historic Front Street, which is only a short stroll away. The Lahaina wharf area, where tourists can book snorkeling excursions, sport fishing charters, whale-watching excursions, and Maui sunset cruise charters, is also very close to this Maui condo complex.
